RACIAL HARMONY DAY 2010

Back to the Future
We are all familiar with stories of how our forefathers came to Singapore and transformed this former small fishing village into the modern country that we are now. Similarly, we see an influx of new citizens coming to seek a brighter future here in Singapore. They bring with them their skills, knowledge and culture, ready to propel Singapore forward and to stay competitive in this globalised world.

Students will go through a holistic experience of discovering how every citizen plays a part in contributing to Singapore’s unique culture. They will also see how citizens from every walk of life unite to live, work and celebrate together as a nation at the National Day Parade. With this knowledge, they will be able to better appreciate and embrace this diversity and work towards greater mutual respect and understanding of the people around them.

We hope you have had a good learning experience at S’pore Discovery Centre

Back in Time
A Singaporean from the year 2055 was teleported in a time capsule and became stranded in 2010 during a RHD mission. To return to the year 2010, he has to retrieve the time capsule before time runs out.

Using the technology of Quick Response (QR) code, students will embark on a learning journey to search for the time capsule within Singapore Discovery Centre. During the search, students will get the opportunity to learn little snippets of Singapore’s racial and cultural diversity.

Let’s Talk (with minimum 4 classes booking)
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Racial Harmony? Over the years, we have welcomed friends from around the world into the Singapore family. We have come a long way and it’s time we celebrate the different cultures and traditions that makes us ‘so Singapore’!
